Position Summary: The Concessions Manager supervises, coordinates and monitors the daily operations of the Center's coffee shop (Steam Heat) and Concessions Stands.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepares daily sales report and monthly P&L statement.
  • Develops the coffee beverage menu, including specialty coffee drinks and appropriate pricing.
  • Ensures consistency in the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the coffee shop, concession stands and related storage areas.
  • Conducts a monthly stock inventory, submitting an inventory report to the General Manager of Food and Beverage for review by the 5th of each month.
  • Verifies the accurate and timely documentation of all daily sales.
  • Manages all cost and labor lines to the monthly budget and adjusts when necessary to achieve annual goal.
  • Ensures inventory levels are maintained and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner to keep pace with the business needs of the coffee shop.



  • Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of qualified Barista and Concession staff.
  • Provides orientation and training for new staff in accordance with training guidelines. Ensures ongoing training for existing staff who assume new responsibilities or who experience changes in their existing duties. Ensures all Barista and Concession staff are TIPS certified;
  • Designs and adjusts work schedules to meet business demands; assigns and monitors work performed by Barista and Concession staff; provides feedback as necessary.
  • Ensures staff adhere to required dress code
  • Addresses performance problems though corrective action in accordance with company guidelines; apprises Food & Beverage General Manager of employee performance matters.
  • Responsible for managing and approving work hours of assigned staff in the payroll system.



  • Functions as first line of contact in responding to customer inquiries; ensures superior customer service.
  • Recommends new ideas to better service our patrons and increase productivity.
  • Assists in developing the annual forecast.
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager of Food and Beverage.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position supervises the baristas and concession staff, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; assigning and directing work; providing performance feedback; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
